Schlappen Boa-Dyed Iridescent - Black/Iridescent

Dyed Half Bronze Iridescen-Rooster Schlappen Feather Boas are 2 yards (6 ft) long, and approx 6-7" diameter. This boa is made from natural half bronze iridescent schlappen feathers located at the base of the tail of the Rooster. The feathers are dyed black over the natural material giving the boa an iridescent shine. Schlappen feathers are soft and flexible, but wider than the saddle feathers, and the stem is thinner than coque feathers giving it more of a drooping effect. Schlappen boas can be cut with wire cutters without unraveling as feathers are sewn on to a nylon cord and cotton-covered wire. This cotton-covered wire helps the boa keep its shape and not come untwisted, which enables it to be used as a "Rental" boa.
